About Me

A Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate from Connecticut College with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Sociology, journalism has been my passion for years. I worked my way up in my high school and college newspapers, serving as Managing Editor of The College Voice in my senior year. I completed an editorial internship at Westchester Magazine in New York and freelance reporting for local newspapers as well. I was recently selected to participate in the 2025 POLITICO Journalism Institute, a competitive training program for emerging journalists.

My experience growing up in the diverse New Rochelle City School District motivated me to write about the injustices of the education system in particular. As a bilingual Spanish-speaker, I am fascinated by the sociolinguistic lens and use it to enrich my storytelling.
